CAMS Web isn't just for public and volunteer users any more. With more work being done remotely we've taken advantage of some of the newer technological innovations available to offer a module designed for use by officers or other staff in your team.

 

In this session we will cover:

 

  • How the Officer Map module works, ensuring you have the tools to manage your network assets directly within your browser
  • How the Officer Map allows ad hoc data editing anywhere you have an internet browser
  • How the Officer Map doesn't just have to be reserved for officers and could be exposed to volunteers or other trusted users if you are keen to extend their capabilities

On this session we’ll highlight how you employ the new ‘drag and drop’ functionality within CAMS to instantly associate your files with CAMS records.

Work in the field can be equal parts preparation to action. Completing structured surveys is a regular responsibility for many. There is often nothing that compares to getting boots on the ground for a physical assessment of your network and its assets. In this session we will provide an overview of the survey process including:

  • Creating a survey based on a random percentage sample of paths
  • Assigning the paths present in the survey to a CAMS Mobile user
  • Syncing on CAMS Mobile and working through the assigned survey

Whilst an important purpose of CAMS Mobile is to allow ad hoc work logging in a flexible manner equally we wanted to build on the ability to complete structured surveys.
